THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS WINTER GAMES
ARE THIS WEEKEND!!




This weekend, I have volunteered to lend the old pipes to the kids with the can-do spirit!  I will be the announcer at the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2011 Special Olympics Winter Games.

This Friday, March 11th, join us at the opening ceremonies will be held at the East High School Auditorium, with doors opening to the public at 6:15pm.  Joining in this event will be emcees Maria Downey of KTUU Channel 2 News, Special Olympics speed skater Bryan Knight, and Special Olympics figure skater Megan McDermott.

Also onhand will be Anchorage Mayor Dan Sullivan, and there will be musical performances from American Idol Season 8 finalist Michael Sarver and Jack Kapanka, who wrote the song "A Champion," the finale of the 2001 Special Olympics World Winter Games opening ceremonies.

COME ON OUT AND CHEER ON THESE INSPIRING ATHLETES!!
