Welcome to BrianBikes.com

And TeamRossBiking.com

THE 2012 BIKING SEASON IS HERE!!

And I am really looking forward to it, especially since this time...it's a FAMILY AFFAIR.

On Ride For Life Alaska I am being joined by my sisters, Lisa and Jody, and my nephew Shawn, to form TEAM ROSS with love and honor for Frances Ross, our Mom & Grandma whom we lost to cancer in 2001.

Lisa & Jody are flying in from California and Shawn is coming up from Chicago to ride from Anchorage to Seward to fight cancer.  That's a long way to come for sore muscles!  Have I got an amazing family or what?  So please help us KICK CANCER!!

RIDE FOR LIFE ALASKA, June 23 & 24, Anchorage to Seward (approx 121 miles) with TEAM ROSS!
Our team goal is $4000.

Team Ross in 2010, when they came up to AK to visit with me.
(L to R) Me, Shawn Thomas, Lisa Ross and Jody Brown.
We rented bikes downtown and rode the Coastal Trail.

Jody and Lisa training in Cali.  They live in a mountain town with climates similar to Anchorage, but can head down to the mountain to DEATH VALLEY.  They are taking advantage of some altitude training.

BIKE MS, September 15-16, From Girdwood to Hope, Girdwood to Anchorage (ride routes to be determined).  I will again be joining Team I.T.Y.  (Misty, without the MS).  Keep checking back here for details.

OR, IF YOU WANT TO RIDE ALONG and even join me on a team, YOU CAN!  I can also arrange some long team-biking trips on weekends so that we can practice.  I may not look it, but I can last a good long distance on a bike and would be glad to give you some tips if you are a beginner.

THANK YOU!!
Brian

How do you know if you are visible enough on a bike?  If a camera flash makes you look like TRON, you are visible enough.

PS:  Here's something from the personal MP3 player in my head.  It helps me pedal faster.

(September, 2010:  Brian on 'Team Venture' for Bike MS--we successfully made it from Hope to Seward on Day 1.  That was my longest one day ride to date, and we had to go back tomorrow.)
